If a broken mirror is 7 years bad luck. What is it when your data mirror breaks every day?

A cleaner who comes in at 8am every day to hoover the carpets before the office day starts and unplugs a RAID controller's power so she can plug her vacuum cleaner in.

We had an after-hours janitorial service (at a previous employer) that unplugged a server to plug in the vacuum cleaner. We finally figured out what happened about a week after the continuous morning havoc. From then on, we had signs posted and made the service agree they were not allowed to unplug a single thing. We did, however, do a little re-arranging to free up plugs every X feet so they could still do their work.

EDIT: Finally, just as I was moving to a different company, they built a server room so the server wasn't sitting out in the open. :hehe:

    Welcome back Ray.

Thanks, although I didn't really go anywhere (except to Yankee Stadium on Friday night). It was really a staycation. Mostly I just putzed around the house!
