I performed a "Repair" over my Visual Studio 2008 and that appears to have corrected the problem. FYI just in case anyone else experiences the same problem.

Open you DSV in BIDS. Right-click on any open space with DSV and select refresh. This should update you DSV with any changes from the underlying tables.

That is correct SSC. SQL syntax is a little different on some commands between SQL server and IBM DB2.
