Uhm...this is also available in sys.master_files? It even says so on the linked document 🙂

And from the same page: Off-row data is not compressed when enabling data compression, so that one is true and therefor false as an answer to this question

Just when I need it, somebody posts a nice script! It's a great start, however, still found some bugs / copy-paste-errors:
AND ( CHARINDEX(quotename(TBLZ.ColumnName) , quotename(IDXZ.index_columns_key) ) > 0
...

As said in my original post, I did use sort_in_tempdb = on. But that gave me about 20 GB of free space.

Thanks guys! Worked like a charm.
REBUILDing on another FG doesn't work (ALTER INDEX doesn't support FG change). But dropping them and then CREATEing them on the other FG was successfull....

Yes, indeed it will be hosted on enterprise, but I'm already using (page) compression.
I think I might give it a try with the filegroup option and see where that leads...
