    Thanks Mike,

    Each record will be unique and based on the selection i have to update the other field also. This may workout while generating the reports.

    Thanks for all.
     
    Finally i have taken a backup with the following procedure:
    1. Backup log transaction with truncate only option and
    2. Shrink the transaction file.
     
    the same has sameer raval suggested.
