Using Port #54712 for Multiple Listner

    Please let me know if there would be any reason not to use port #54712 when setting up SQLServer 2000 to listen to multiple static TCP ports.

    I did have a problem once when setting up a 5-digit port - not wanting to interfere with any well-known ports, and it was reset (by SQL?) to a 4-digit one. Let me know if you encounter the same problem.
