Hi all experts,
I'm a newbie here in sql server administration. Need your kind assistance on this.
I unable to find a link that provide guidance on upgrading sql server 2005 standard edition to enterprise edition.
Need some pointers on how to upgrade.
1) do i have to bring down any sql server services or databases offline before performing upgrade?
2) execute the following, am i right? "start /wait setup.exe ADDLOCAL=SQL_Engine INSTANCENAME=
3) currently the standard edition is of service pack 2. understand that service pack 2 need to be reinstall after upgrade. however, i would like to know after the upgrade, will the service pack 2 be automatically removed? do i have to manually remove it and reinstall it?
thanks
