There is a job running that does an INSERT of all rows from a view into a table.
The transaction log is growing out of control because of this job.
If I had them create an SSIS job to EXPORT the data from a view to the table, would that have the same effect on the transaction log?

Carol,
Have you tried to use Bulk Insert, setting a batch size?
This will control the growth of the T-Log as well as potentially increase performance of your insert

I am not the one who wrote the job, but i am the one who is charge of the server and the backups and logs...I never thought about BULK INSERT. Thanks for the idea. I want to have a few recommendations before I go to the developer.
