The SQL Joke Thread

Do you know why Jeff had to get out of the construction business?
    He refused to use RBAR!

I guess he'll have to stop SQL building, then...  poor Jeff...  he'll probably start CURSOR-ing for quite a WHILE when he hears about this...  and when his head explodes, we'll know he's LOOPed one too many times...   Guess we'll have to FETCH his NEXT row for him.,.

BWAAA-HAAAAA-HAAA!!!!  Blew a pork chop bone out of my nose on that one!  Too funny!  I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! πŸ˜€

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.
"Change is inevitable... change for the better is not".

I was going to say:  Do you know why Jeff's house fell down?  He told them not to use any RBAR in the foundation.
