Poll on Dan Patrick this morning: Who gets back in the groove first? A-Rod or Tiger?

I was thinking Tiger, but Rich Eisen thought that Tiger might never win again. Anything.

I think Tiger will win again, but I also think it could be a slow process...and I don't know that he'll ever be back in the groove like he was a few years back. Tiger gave it a good run in the Masters last year before he got hurt again so I think I'd take him over A-Rod.

  • Soccer is a game played by prima donnas (albeit male ones) and watched by hooligans and idiots.

Hailing from the rugby (union) mad country of New Zealand I can only agree with Tom about Soccer. Alas, I don't rate American football much better - all that padding and helmets (sigh). Watch the Rugby World Cup for truly hard-hitting, hard-fought competition.

"Play hard, or go home!" 😀

Dont foget the Rugby(League) in NZ as well, Warriors did make the Grand Final...

Then there is the "fast and furious" Rugby Sevens - great for those with busy lives, or a short attention span 🙂

  • Absolutley,

    back to this weekend however my predictions are;

    NZ v AUS = NZ

    WAL v FRA = FRA

I picked Wales over France, but from New Zealands perspective a NZ/France final couldn't be better.

Yeah it is looking good for the ABs they played really well against Aus.,

Wales though i feel were robbed, I don't want to be someone that blames the ref..... but there was no way that was a red card tackle..

Yeah, it was a bit harsh - maybe just a yellow. Still, Wales missed a conversion and a couple of penalties, so it had been their game to win.

I expected a better game from Australia. They stuck rigidly to a game plan that wasn't working for them - and Quade Cooper just couldn't win a trick.

No science here, but I'd like to see:

    IRE v WAL = IRE

    ENG v FRA = ENG

    RSA v AUS = AUS

    NZL v ARG = NZL

That wasn't very nice of you. 🙁

I didn't pick Australia to beat South Africa, given the way RSA started the competition, and being the defending champions, they looked to be the greatest threat early on.

You are right, they really did miss out on some big oppurtunites in the game but still they did well to get to the semis.

I did expect more from the Aussies, but good for NZ i guess.. bring on the finals!

I picked South Africa as well, they are usually such a strong team and often play very well in international rugby as well as Super 14. Wasn't their tournament though this time.

Glad to see that complaints about officials aren't limited to American baseball umpires or football, basketball, and hockey referees! 🙂

no not at all i think they are universally complained about, though it's not as bad as some football (soccer) matches where the ref needs a police escort out of the stadium!

after watching the tackle again it does look dangerous and maybe the ref was right 🙂
