Switching Existing Reporting Server to Sharepoint Integrated Mode

  • Can an existing reporting server instance be switched to Sharepoint integrated mode without needing to recreate the database?

  • I was hoping to get a little advice regarding Sharepoint and I wanted to quickly “pick your brain.” On July 1, we’re upgrading from SQL 2005 to 2008R2 on our db servers. At that same time, I’m planning to install SSRS. We currently have Sharepoint (2007 standard). We’re hoping to upgrade to Sharepoint 2010 in the next year. My question to you is “Is it worth it to try installing SSRS in Sharepoint integrated mode with Sharepoint 2007?” We talked briefly about the fact that it can be a difficult upgrade and we might have to “start from scratch” with Sharepoint 2010. So, I’m wondering if I should just stick with a native mode install of SSRS and then attempt to switch to integrated mode with Sharepoint after we’ve done the Sharepoint upgrade? What would you recommend?
