Hi everyone - Hope someone can help me out with this one. I've been having the darnest time trying to deploy an SSRS 2008 r2 report on Windows 7.
My setup is as follows.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
SQL Server 2008 R2 installed
VS 2010 installed
Whenever I try to deploy a SSRS report, I'm getting the following error:
An error occurred during local report processing.
The definition of the report '/ReportName' is invalid.
An unexpected error occurred in Report Processing.
Access to path 'C:\Users\ProfileName\AppData\Local\Temp\expression_host_3e7b59c32b824f1f9f6aa30160c9f8c8.dll' is denied.
I've done the following with no success:
1. Set the UAC down to the lowest setting, and rebooted.
2. Under localhost\Reports, Under Site Settings, I've set myself up as System Admin and System User
3. Under folder settings, I've set myself up as Browser, CM, My reports, Publisher, Report Builder.
I've tried googling this w/o any success. Was wondering if anyone could help shed some light on this.

Are you on a domain ? Is so, trying making associated user domain admin, can you connect to SSRS via SSMS ? Is SSRS service started ?

The issue was the anitvirus software, it was blocking some ports. Uninstalled it, and SSRS is working like a champ now. thanks!
