SSAS: Date field Dimension --> Year, quarter, Month

    Messing around with SSAS now. After correcting the regional (Dutch --> US) settings I'm no longer getting these awful error messages and I can actually set my Rows, Columns and Detail in BIDS. Great!

    However: A have a date field (Invoice Data) and I would like to be able to group my data

    by Year, quarter, Month. I've been playing with Excel in the past and using it's limited OLAP functionality and using that it was relatively easy. Now I just can't figure it out..

    Anyone that can point me in the right direction on what settings to use?

    Never mind, I think Ive got it figured out, or Im starting to get the hang of it.

    In case anybody is interested: I found videos by PCTeachMe on Youtube.

    There are some specific SSAS videos about this.
