SQLSERVER Instance

    Hi All

    I have been given a New Server which has SQLSERVER 2000.Is that possible to find who installed the SQLSERVER in that server?

    I'm not sure if you can find who installed SQL originally but you can find out who applied Service Pack 4 by checking the InstalledBy entry in the following registry location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\SQL Server 2000\SP4\MSSQLSERVER\KB884525\
