sql server web service vs asp.net web service

    Hi,

    I am trying to decide on whether to use sql server 2005 web service rather than an asp.net one but have not managed to find much written on the topic. I'd like to find out what the pros and cons of each are. What are the performance comparisons? Any security issues?
