SQL Server Reporting Service

  • Hi All,

Recently I have installed SQL Server 2005 Reporting Service in a workgroup. All users who want to connect and using this service are in Domain. What is the best solution regarding this issue? I planned to create users locally in Reporting Server and give permission to them but I doubt that this is according to Microsoft Best Practice.

Any idea regarding this issue will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sani

  • Create an Active Directory security group, add the users to the group, then give the group the necessary permissions. This way, when a user leaves or joins, all you have to admin is the group in AD instead of updating RS all the time.
