SQL Server Express 2005 installation error

    Hi,

    This is my first post here and I hope someone will be put me off my misery as I am desesperate to sort out the reason of why I am unable to install SQL Server express 2005 on my home PC.

    I have googled and tried all sort of tips I got but still no success.

    Please find below the error and I am attaching the log files in a zip folder/

    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup was unable to install on your computer

    EventType : sql90setup P1 : invokesqlsetupdllaction P2 : 0xc0000005

    P3 : 0x71a6231c P4 : 0xc0000005

    I came across a similar problem when installing the basic SQL Server 2005 Express, and found no solution. However, I had no problem installing SQL Server 2005 Express with Advanced Services.
