SQL server client 2008 on windows 7

    We are trying to install a SQL server client 2008 on a windows 7 computer, but it cannot load the setup.exe, when we click it, it takes a long time to run and finally shows application load error.

    My question is can I install SQL server client 2008 including management studio and BI tools on a windows 7 machine?

    Yes, they run fine, I run SQL 2008 R2 on a Win 7 machine (SQL client and server) and both 2008 R2 and 2012 on another Win 7 machine.

    Thank you.

    We ends up and reimage the computer since it is a newly installed computer any way and the user only installed oracle client on it. After re image the set up of 2008 sql install without any problem.
