sql server 2005 connection

    hai all,

    i was trying to connect to database..but i got the following error.

    Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'System'. No entry found with that name. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.

    please help!

    check that the instance you are connecting to has a database called system on it.

    thanks for replying.....no. it is not having a database with name as 'System'.i tried to connect with other machine's databases also... i am getting the same error there also.

    Have you verified the server name is the same in the database as it is in sysdatabase?
