SQL 2005 mirroring. Instances failover

  Hi everyone.

  Have a situation where I would appreciate some advice.

  Have a SQL 2005 mirror config. There are 6 instances on the Server all configured for high availiablity mirroring.

  Occasionally I see a scenario where only a few - say 2 or 3 instances have failed over.

  They have failed over successfully.

  Question is what could be the cause of only a few instances failing over , as oppossed to all the instances failing over?

  Is there anything I could check to see the cause ?

  Mirroring monitor does not display anything useful.

  Many thanks for any advice.

  HI,

  Did you check the event logs in the servers ?

  You may check SQL server error logs and eventviewer (Application,system) in the Machine and see what cause the failover.
