sp_MSsetrowmetadata has too many arguments specified

  • Hi,

I've merged replication running on SQL2K SP3, 3 articles is having a problem and they always throws this msg "sp_MSsetrowmetadata has too many arguments specified" in conflict viewer, whenever changes takeplace. I guess during building schemas at subscriber some sort of problem may have occured (i.e. network error or bad package..), how can I resolve this without reinitialization?

    This is the complete msg:

The row was inserted at 'server.db' but could not be inserted at 'server2.db'. Procedure or function sp_MSsetrowmetadata has too many arguments specified.

    Regards, GB

  • This could be the result of a service pack mismatch between publisher and subscriber.  Either way, re-applying the service pack with recreate the merge replication objects with their proper definition.
