Setting folder security through Mgmt Studio VS Report Manager

    Which interface/tool (report manager's web interface or mgmt studio) is better at setting folder security on Report Manager?

    Better means accuracy, secure, ease and efficiency.

    I notice most report developers utilize the Report Manager web interface to set folder security on forums, blogs and articles....rarely using Mgmt Studio. Are there reasons why they are not using the Mgmt Studio.

    I use the web interface because it requires much less overhead than Management studio does. Plus if I test the report I usually am already connected to Report Manager to run the report so if I'm already there, I just click on properties to make whatever changes I need to make.

    From what I can tell, you can do the same exact things in both, so it's really just personal preference.
