Service Pack4 Install Question

    Is it possible to install service pack4 on a server with multiple named instances to only one of the sql named instances?

    Yes, I think so since each instance has its own set of binarys plus it would be a mess otherwise if you have for example SQL 7 and 2k installed on the same box.

    You can certainly install sp4 to a specific instance of SQL.  The install will prompt you for default or specific instance.  Hope this  helps
