Recovering a clustered SQL Server to a non clustered one in a DR test.

  • I am working on a DR test and the recovery will be from a clustered server to a single stand alone. I'll be doing the base install. Historically I restore master & msdb before restoring the user databases.

So my question is has anyone tried restoring a master db from a clustered install to a non-clustered one?

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of information about the install yet. I got dropped into this at the last minute.

    Thanks for any help/opinions.
