I have been trying to set up an execution account for reporting services but I'm not having a lot of luck. Everything I've read states that you just have to supply a valid windows account (in the form of DOMAIN\USER ID)and password, but its not working.
On clicking apply I get the message "The execution account could not be set at this time". If I click on the link "Tell me more about the problem and how to resolve it" it gives me the following exception details:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800706B3)
at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo)
at System.Management.ManagementObject.Get()
at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.SetUnattendedExecutionAccount(String userName, String password)
Can anyone help?

Have you tried setting the EA using the RsConfig Utility http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156302.aspx.
