Print T_SQL Code in color

  • Is there anyway to print the SQL Code syntax in color?

  • The sarcastic in me would say, change the colour scheme in Query Analyzer and then make a screenshot while me usual alter ego would rather say: Why?

Though I have never tried, I don't think this is possible with Query Analyzer. However, you can copy and paste into any other editor that will allow this.

  • My favourite editor does colour prints. emEditor Professional, not free, but very cheap. I've paid for it for the macro functionality which is excellent. http://www.emeditor.com

A good free one is Context, which exports coloured htm or RTF format, to the clipboard, which can be handy. http://www.context.cx/

  • I use UltraEdit (http://www.ultraedit.com) which is a handy app.  It comes with some predefined hiliting, but you can edit those and it allows you to also define your own hiliting schemes.

  • Thank you all for your suggestions.  Much appreciated!
