point in time recovery

    Hi guys,

    Does full backup also backup the transaction log? If so, can I do point in time recovery based on full backup without transaction log backup?

    A full backup only backs up enough of the transaction log to ensure a consistent restore as of the end of backing up the data portion of the database. You can not do a point in time restore only with the full backup.
