    you need to assign the user to a role.

    or else

    grant what are all the permissions you want to give the user using the grant (t-sql)

    YES, I GRANTED THE SELECT PERMISSION, BUT IT GIVES ERROR :

    Cannot grant, deny, or revoke permissions to sa, dbo, entity owner, information_schema, sys, or yourself.

    i have all admin privileges
