[message error] Linked Server SQL2005

  Hello everyone,

  i'm trying to use - in a first time level - linked server in sql2005, connecting a server A (XPTO) to a server B and the console shows the message (both servers in sql2005) and i receive this error message:

  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)

  ------------------------------

  The OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "XPTO" reported an error. Authentication failed.

  Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "XPTO".

  OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "XPTO" returned message "Invalid authorization specification". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7399)

  Instead of "OLE DB provider" in the providers try using Sql Native Client.
