Link Server under Security secttion

    Hi guys

    I have some problem with connecting server. and getting this following message:

    error 7399: ole db provider 'Microsoft.jet.OLEDB.4.0' reported an error. Authenticated failed.

    could any please guide me on this??

    Does your Access project utilize a workgroup file? If so you will need to set it up like you would on any other machine so that the Access registry is pointed to use that Workgroup and SQL be able to access.

    Also if you specify a DSN in Data source instead of path & name of mdb will generate this error.

    Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere.

    thnx guys.. I have worked it out and working fine. it should be same right as i have on my machine (NTFS) system..
