Hi,
A 3 node Always on Availability Group
NODE 1 . OLTP
Node 2. REPORTING
NODE 3 DR
Does the DR node need to be licensed. Node 1 and 2 will for sure. 3 will have nothing running on it. But obviously will have production data.
A number of years since I have dealt with licensing and the goal posts move every time the wind changes direction.

I believe if you have Software Assurance, then #3 not licensed, but can't be used for anything. No DBCC, no reads at all.

Note that a benefit of SA is one passive instance.
