Killing Rebuild when it is still processing

    Hello All ,

    I did Index defragmentation a week ago . for 1 database only , In the middle of rebuild I kill the process twice cause It takes more than 1 hour so I killed it and wonder how many high level fragmented indexes left ...

    But Now i am afraid that it would cause a problem ??

    If you're wondering whether canceling the job will cause a problem no it shouldn't, it just won't have had any affect on indexs that either weren't reached or the process didn't complete for.

    If you were running a bunch of rebuild operations in the same process you would need to rerun whatever original report you ran and see how much progress it made.
