Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has run into this issue before...
I installed what appeared to be SQL 2012 Enterprise. I downloaded this off of MSDN. This actually happened on 2 boxes, btw. So after I selected @@version it returned SQL 2012 Standard SP1. I also tried to run an XMLA script to create cubes from production, and it returned and error saying that principles are not supported in Standard Edition. My confusion is that the SQL 2012 install file says [sql_enterprise_2012_64bit].
Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't had any issues installing enterprise edition from MSDN. When I downloaded and installed the enterprise version (according to MSDN), it did in fact install enterprise edition.

The only issue I have ran into is not updating the @@version when installing a service pack, that was 08R2. I would place a call with MS and have them run a dump on it. You could look in your install logs too. It really sounds like you downloaded Standard.

Any way to verify the key you used? If I remember correctly the only difference in installations is the key used when installing SQL.
But then again, I could be wrong but it is a thought.

Thanks for all your responses. Perhaps I should raise this with MS? But, only God knows when they will get back to me. 😛
