Hi all
My knowledge in BI are zero. I spend a scenario and I need opinions on how to do.
I have a transactional database VLDB (today is in the range is almost 4 TB). All reports are made in there , including the decision reports, deteriorating performance because it works with millions of lines .
I have a report in particular that is my problem today. He returned 4 measures
Volume movements of products
Value at cost
Value of the sale price
Value of High Price
And these dimensions:
Date
Product cod
Cod Manufacturer
Cod department
Cod Sector
Code of Purchaser
Now the problem.. I can not work with d-1 data. I have to be most online possible.
I think to create a cube with d-1 and another daily cube. (this daily cube is update
to 1 in 1 hour and in the end of the day i update de principal cube d-1 whit this information)
And to join this 2 cubes in a virtual cube ..how can i do this ?...or how can i implement one solution for my problem ?
