I am trying to generate an ER diagram for 400+ tables. I want all column info visible for all tables. Does anyone know of a good (free) tool to do this other than the diagramming tool in Ent Mgr?

You can download a trial version of visio and try that.
Alternatively, I have in the past used linked tables to sql from ms access and brought the tables up in the relationship manager. You can then output the tables in word format etc. Bit longwinded, but I find it works OK if you want to show links with a dozen or so tables in one page.

You can download a case studio software from http://www.casestudio.com.
It is powerful to do ER and produce the database document very easy.
You may focus to use the reverse engineering feature. Have a fun.

Hi,
I've used the trial version of ERWin for the same thing. A very nice tool to generate ER digrams on exisiting SQL Server database.
