Anyone have any idea what this is?

    Error starting debugging. (Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.VsIntegration)

Package ran fine 20 minutes ago and now this.

    Thanks

  • What changed between when you ran the package 20 minutes ago and when you got that error?

  • Lol.

    Nothing. That's the problem.

Ended up restarting and it worked fine.

  • Well, at least you got it fixed. @=)

  • Hey Hi,

I am facing the same issue... can you help me in solving the same.

Tried restarting also but didnt work for me.

    Regards,

    Neeta.

  • Neeta,

    You still having this problem?

  • I am having the same issue, and cannot figure out what is the issue

  • I wonder if there's a bug in one of the components.

What versions / service packs are all of you using?

  • The versions are

    Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio9.00.3042.00

    Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools2005.090.3042.00

Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)2000.085.1117.00 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

    Microsoft MSXML2.6 3.0 4.0 5.0 6.0

    Microsoft Internet Explorer6.0.2900.2180

    Microsoft .NET Framework2.0.50727.832

    Operating System5.1.2600

  • Are you running the package in BIDS or SSMS or in a command line?

If SSMS, are you Executing the package directly or using a job?

If a job, what type of job step are you using?

If a direct execute, what options are you using or are you taking the default command line?

  • I am running in BIDS

  • BIDS is Visual Studio. What version of that are you using? (You didn't say).

If you haven't done this already... Save your package, close the project, then exit BIDS. Open it up again and re-run to see if that helps.

If it doesn't help, did you try rebooting your PC yet? If your PC has been running "unbooted" for a while, that could also cause a problem. I'm assuming you're running on a PC, not a Server.

And I don't understand this OS reference:

    Operating System 5.1.2600

What operating system software is this?

  • BIDS is visual studio 2005. And I am using windows xp
