encrypted ssn column in sql server to oracle non encrypted column

    hi,

    i am creating a data flow task in ssis to transfer data from sql server to oracle. (same tables on both ends)

    but there is an ssn column which is encrypted in sql server, which task do i have to use to decrypt this column and if possible how can i do this if you guys can provide an example that will help a lot.

    I expect that using a script task is the way to go to decrypt your data. Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with db encryption & keys to write the script for you. Although if you arre using encryption there, you have a good chance that a colleague would have that experience. Good luck.
