Document requirement on data warehousing

  • Hi experts,

As part of the requirement for a proposal on Data Warehousing, I am in need of the following items.

    1. Design implementation procedures to maintain DBMS environment

    2. Documentation on the transition from logical db architecture to physical

    3. DB back up and recovery plan

    4. Detailed DB Security

    5. Progress and Status Reports

A sample on the above will be perfect.

    Tanx 😀

  • Um, isn't this what the client is paying *you* to produce?

    Steve.

  • Ya

That doesn't mean i can't ask for help steve.

  • Since this is from April, you should upload the templates you ended up using.

I second that you wanted the community to do most of your work so it is time to share.

    😉

    Kind regards,

  • Datawarehouse design is very complex and requires years of experience... are you sure this is what you are after, and not just a large database for relatively simple data analysis?

    I agree 100% with c00ler01 !!!

The vast complexity of a datawarehouse is often taken for granted resulting in poor architectual design of such.

Interesting white paper on this can be found here:
