Deploying SQL Server 2005 on a server. Is it needed? Or should we just deploy a few key files composing the DB

  • I am developing a website that accesses several tables from SQL Server 2005. We will soon deploy the website on a server.

Question: Do we also need to install SQL Server 2005 on this server? Or can we somehow just deploy the SQL server data tables that compose the database.

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • I don't wish to be intentionally rude but if you're asking this question you shouldn't be developing the solution. I believe the asp.net microsoft training course would provide the answers you seek.

  • I agree with Colin (also, trying not to be rude). SQL Server is not like MS Access.

    Good luck!

    Chris.
