Data format change

  • Just recently I have noticed a change in the format of the data stored in one of my db's.

It now appears that the 'space' character has been changed to a '+' character. The code which manipulates these strings has not been changed.

    Confused? You will be

Is this related to a recent SQL 2000 hot fix?

Before this point spaces were stored as spaces.

It's OK now. I found a change in the imtermediate code which URL encoded it. Not a SQL problem at all. Apologies.

  • It's OK.

Found a change in a shared component which URL encoded it. So it's not related to SQL after all.

Note to self: check if people change shared compenents to avoid embarrassment!
