In a cube of Analysis Services I want to count the number of customers for each Area Manager that bought a specific product. The Customer key is not numeric. How could I do this?

To try and anser this I'll have to make a couple of assumptions... you have some fact, says sales to which you have two dimensions joining, say managers and customers, plus what ever else.
To get the count of customers for a manager you'll have to create a calculated member which counts the customer id's (they don't have to be numeric as you are only counting them not adding for example). To go further you would be best to use a distinct count as each customer will more then likely occur multiple times depending on the fact...
Can't really go any further then that unless you give more detail regarding the cube design... hope it helps...
