Copying one specific table from production to Development Server

    I'm copying several tables from production to development server using DTS package. one table seems to be refusing it. It used to take half an hour. However, this time two hours already is past and its progress bar is still indicating 0%. What seems to be causing this?

    I would suggest to generate script through generate scripts wizard. it is excellent for such migration tasks.

    hi .....is that showing any error...or not....

    the best way is that just generate script of that table and create that table into destination and then try to transfer only data....have u checked how much data into that ..

    ooops... Never mind. I should have given it more time. After I came back from jogging, it was all done. 5 million records can take time. Thank you anyway.
