Connection error - see message in description

  • Hi,

I'm writing a web service to be consumed by a Silverlight proj.

I'm getting the error above even though I can connect to the server and database through SQL Server Studio 2005. This seems to me to be a networking error unless someone can answer this on this forum?

I appreciate that this is brief. Please ask for more details.

    thanks,

    Paul

  • Have you verified that Named Pipes is enabled on the SQL Server using SQL Server Configuration Manager? You may need to force it to use TCP. See this post.
