Commpression rate on backup

    What is the compression rate on a backup using MSSQL 2000? Is it any different from other versions?

    Its not compressed.  If you look at the backup size, it'll be the utilized part of the data file(s) + the utilized part of the transaction log file(s), at least pretty close.
