We have SQL server 2008 Development edition installed on one of our server. When I connect it with IP address using SSMS it gets connected but when I connect it using server name it gives below error:
What account is the SQL Server service running as, a domain account or local account? Sounds like it could be an SPN registration issue perhaps if the server and service are on the domain.
