Can anyone recommend a good SQL Server 2005 book ?

  • I'm looking for a good SQL 2005 book. Something that preferrably explains the differences between 2005 and previous versions, new features etc.

    Any suggestions ??

  • Check out the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Developer's Guide from McGraw-Hill Osborne

     http://www.wvmitchell.com/library/details/1512.html

  • I can recommend you two books for this:

    1. Michael Otey. SQL Server 2005 New Features. McGrowHill Osborne. It is mostly summary describing each new feature. It is good jump-start if you are new to SQL Server 2005 (but not to SQL Server !)

    2. Thomas Rizzo,... .Pro SQL Server 2005. Apress. It is more detailed manual teaching for each new feature.

  • I recommend SQL SERVER 2005 Administrators Pocket Consultant from Microsoft written by william R. stanek

It's a handy ..go to book
