BCP in Logshipping servers

  • Bulk logged operation will not be recorded in the log. So how do the copying of the bulk transactions in the log shipping. Please Help

  • Need to change the recovery model to FULL if you need logging to happen for all transactions and later propagated by log shipping

Refer BOL on operations which are not logged by BULK recovery model to get some further understanding.

In bulk logged recovery model, the bulk transactions are minimally logged it't not that they are not logged at all. It only records what extents have changed. So, when the server ships the log the standy server would have the same information as what extents have changed.
