adding a new report dataset

    Hi,

    I am using a report table in my report in BIDS, works fine.

    I need to add an additional table onto my report (for different data). I drag over the table, but I don't see any way to add an addtional dataset.

    I need to be able to put in a different query for the new table, but don't see any way..

    I created a new dataset, but didn't see anywhere to add my query once I create it.

    fwiw - I have the one table already working with it's dataset. I need to add an additional table with it's own dataset.

    I don't understand your response. Do you have a blank dataset and you need to create the query, or do you have a dataset that appears to be working but does not return any data?

    Hmmmm...

    When you select <NewDataset...> from the data pane, you should be directed to a new dataset dialogue box. In the dialogue box, you should see the option "Query String:" This is where you enter the query for your new dataset. Are you not seeing this?
