SQL Saturday SQLSaturday #62 - Tampa Review

,

For those who attended SQL Saturday #62 in Tampa I hope you enjoyed this free event.  As I promised in the Iron Chef session you can download my project files here.

If you missed this session looks for it at a SQL Saturday near you.  This session is one part entertainment and one part education.  Who said education cannot be fun?  Two chefs duel in loading a Data Warehouse in their own unique way.  To impress the judges the two chefs find creative ways to present that data.

Adam created an Analysis Services cube and PerformancePoint reports off the completed data warehouse, while I created a data mining structure to make predictions on who would make the best employees. To present this I built a set of Reporting Services reports showing my data graphically with a map as well as a tabular view of the data.

The event as a whole was great because of the two event leaders Pam Shaw and Jose Chinchilla.  I know from experience these events are not easy to do on your own and they both did a great job.
