Snapshot replication

  • Hello All:

I am trying to setup snapshot replication on my servers and i am not having much luck. I am pushing the replication. Some of my tables has spaces in the names and I have heard that might be an issue. Any one have any thoughts?

  • Spaces shouldn't be a problem. What exactly is the problem, are you seeing errors?

  • The problem is that I cant push a snapshot replication to the destination. The snapshot part works ok but then it wont push out. All I get it that the push failed because of a "syntax error or access violation." I don't have an error code to go on. I am not sure where to go.

  • Make sure all of latest sql service packs are installed.

  • Hi,

I assume all the accounts that replication have the proper permissions

  • I am working remotely with a co-worker I do not have direct access to the server. As far as I know all accounts have the correct permissions. We are running SQL Server 2000 and I am 90% sure we have the latest service packs installed as well.

  • We are running SQL2000 on Windows 2003 server platforms. All versions of SQL2000 have SP3 installed. All accounts have the correct permissions and are accessing the Database daily.

  • Get the latest service pack on SQL2000.
