I have a dts package which at some point lost data contained in one component. Component was suppose to copy data from one server to another. After I have copied dts package to another server, copy property was somehow altered and did not contain table name which I needed for dts to copy. Did anyone encounter such behavior from dts package. I am puzzled because I have done this many times and moved same package to different location and nothing like this ever happened. Also I have changed dts owner and test show nothing changes. Can someone shed some light on this topic.

Are both servers at the same Service pack/hotfix level? I've never seen this particular problem but have had issues in the past when transfering DTS jobs and that was the root of the problem. Also check to make sure that your connection objects are the same permissions are the same etc...

the only other difference was, we moved server from private dmz network to public network, hense service sql server accounts have changed, but privileges were the same, I just tested all scenarios, for example changing owner, copying to different locations and output same, no change to the inside components of the dts. I am going to test taking away privileges and see what happens
